Richard W. Nenno

Richard W. Nenno is Senior Counsel with Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP, Wilmington, Delaware. Dick has almost 50 years of estate-planning experience and is admitted to the practice of law in Delaware and Pennsylvania. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a member of the Advisory Committee of the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning, a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and a member of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils (NAEPC) Hall of Fame. Dick was an attorney with Wilmington Trust Company, Wilmington, Delaware, from 1982 until 2021. Prior to joining Wilmington Trust Company, he was an associate in the Estates Department of the Philadelphia law firm of Ballard, Spahr, Andrews and Ingersoll.

Dick is a cum laude graduate of Princeton University with an A.B. degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. He earned his J.D. degree from Harvard Law School.

Dick is recognized as a national speaker and published authority on estate-planning issues. He has presented at the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning, ACTEC national meetings, the Hawaii Tax Institute, the Notre Dame Tax and Estate Planning Institute, the AICPA Advanced Estate Planning Conference, and the NYU Institute on Federal Taxation. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Section of Real Property, Trust & Estate Law (former member of Council) and Section of Taxation; Delaware State Bar Association (former chair: Estates and Trusts Section); Estate Planning Council of Delaware, Inc. (former president); Philadelphia Bar Association.  He chaired the committee of the Delaware State Bar Association that updates Delaware trust legislation for many years and still participates in that committee’s deliberations.

Melinda Garvin, EA

Melinda is a tax professional at Foos-Garvin Accounting, Inc. in Ohio and has 35+ years of experience serving individual and businesses tax needs.

Melinda has been an instructor for National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) for over 15 years, OSU Income Tax School and has served in the past on the Ohio NATP Chapter Board as the Education Director. Melinda has also been a presenter at the IRS Nationwide Tax Forums and instructed various tax classes for Ohio State Bar Association, State Chapters of NAEA and local organizations.

Melinda’s instructor specialty is in Ethics and Securing Tax Offices; so, to further encourage tax professionals in office ‘best practices’, she authored the manual “Audit Proof the Tax Office” and has since then published a second manual called “Best Practices for the Tax Office”. Melinda has a strong aspiration to support the tax professional’s many sides of interactions with clients, IRS and the always needed education.

Joseph B. Hull | Executive Director | Fiduciary/Trust Tax Services | Ernst & Young LLP

Joe Hull is a Managing Director in EY’s Fiduciary/Trust Tax Services (FTTS) practice with more than 30 years of experience in fiduciary taxation. Joe is the Subject Matter Professional/Tax Technical Leader for the FTTS practice.  He also manages the FTTS practice in the Columbus, Ohio office.

Joe joined our firm in 2013 as a result of the acquisition of the Thomson Reuters trust tax practice. At Thomson Reuters, Joe was the Manager of the Columbus, Ohio office of the trust tax practice.

Prior to Thomson Reuters, Joe was a founding member of Fiduciary Solutions, a firm offering tax preparation services to the trust industry. Joe began his career at KeyBank in Dayton, Ohio and then relocated to Columbus, Ohio as a Tax Manager for JPMorgan Chase.

Joe is a Certified Public Accountant. He holds a BS in Accounting as well as an MBA from The University of Dayton. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA).

Jeff Ruderman

Jeff Ruderman is a wealth planning specialist at Capital Group Private Client Services. He joined Capital Group in 2011 and has 23 years of industry experience. As a member of the Wealth Advisory Group, Jeff provides advice on wealth planning topics, specializing in the areas of wealth transfer, charitable planning and working with private business owners. Prior to joining our company, he spent more than five years as an assistant vice president and senior private client associate with Bernstein Global Wealth Management. Jeff earned a bachelor’s with honors in international finance and marketing from the University of Miami, and also studied international business at the Hogeschool voor Economische Studies in Amsterdam. He holds a professional designation in personal financial planning from the University of Georgia as well as a CFP® designation.  He is based in Los Angeles.

Jeffay Chang

Jeffay Chang is a senior trust, estate and fiduciary strategist at Capital Group Private Client Services, focusing on trust, estate, tax and personal planning matters. Before joining our firm, Jeffay spent six years as senior vice president and national team lead trust advisor at City National Bank. He served as executive vice president and trust strategist at The Goldman Sachs Trust Company for the 12 years before that and held earlier positions at UBS Financial Services and United States Trust Company of New York. Jeffay received his J.D. from Fordham University Schoolof Law and his bachelor’s from Brandeis University (cum laude). He is a former board member of theEstate Planning Council of New York, and a member of STEP (formerly known as the Society of Tax and Estate Practitioners). Jeffay serves as vice chair of the board of The Picture House, was a board member of the Pelham Art Center and is the former board chair of the Chinese Language School of Connecticut. Jeffay is based in our New York office.

Tara Rich

Tara Rich is a wealth planning specialist in the Wealth Advisory Group of Capital Group Private Client Services.  Before joining Capital Group in May 2018, Tara was a professor at the Kogod School of Business at American University, where she taught courses on corporate valuation and behavioral finance. Tara holds a bachelor’s in finance and mathematics and a Ph.D. in finance, both from the University of Alabama, and holds the CPWA® designation.  Additionally, she is on the board of the Georgia Council on Economic Education. Tara is based in our Atlanta office.

Chris Jenkins

Chris Jenkins is a private wealth business development manager at Capital Group Private Client Services. He has 32 years of investment industry experience and has been with Capital Group for 17 years. Prior to joining Capital, Chris was a vice president at Franklin Templeton Investments. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Memphis. He also holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst®, Certified Private Wealth Advisor® and Certified Exit Planning Advisor designations. Chris is a member of the Financial Planning Association and is a member of the Investments & Wealth Institute, where he serves on the editorial advisory board. Chris is based in Franklin, Tennessee.
