It always starts with her telling the anecdote about how my grandparents got to the hospital before she did; of course, the whole family was very excited, but apparently they just couldn’t wait to meet me.

WLU Highlands Campus Manager Sara Sweeney organized training sessions to create a campus community that ensures everyone is treated with respect. WLU staff and students learned about the LGBTQ+ community and how to be supportive.
