SGA offers NYC trip for second year

This past week, West Liberty University’s Student Government Association (SGA) announced a red eye bus trip to New York City. The trip, open to students, staff and faculty, will leave campus on April 6 and return on April 8.

The West Liberty University Student Government Association (SGA) is taking a new approach at event planning. Now, even students who do not have a chance to attend senate meetings can voice their opinions. SGA connected with the student body via Twitter to plan two big events for the spring: Spring Fling and a bus trip to New York City. 

Student Government decides against ASGA

Earlier this semester, West Liberty University’s Student Government Association had high spirits after initially deciding to join the American Student Government Association (ASGA). Now, those feelings have changed as the student government took a step back and chose not to join ASGA. 

West Liberty SGA joins national organization

The American Student Government Association (ASGA) has recently reached out to the Student Government Association here at West Liberty University. The ASGA aims to provide a means of communication between SGAs at various college campuses.

The ASGA mission statement reads, “The American Student Government Association will provide all Student Government leaders and advisors nationwide with networking, research, and information resources and will teach them how to become more effective, ethical, and influential leaders on their campuses.”

Vote for SGA senate elections today

The Student Government Association (SGA) elections will be held today, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

SGA serves as the voice for the West Liberty University student body. They will be representing students in the decision-making process with the university administration. Furthermore, they will be playing an important role in planning the events for Homecoming next October.
