Alpha Xi Delta raises autism awareness throughout April

The sorority Alpha Xi Delta has planned multiple events throughout the month of April to spread autism awareness on the hilltop. These girls have come together to set up fundraisers at local restaurants, campus gatherings, snow cone sales, tie-dying shirts and a flag football contest to raise money.

Black Tie Event benefits local man with ALS

Phi Delta Theta W. Va. Gamma fraternity of WLU will host its second consecutive Black Tie event Saturday, April 14, at G-Top in support of their philanthropy, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). This year’s event will be in benefit of Donnie Finsley.

Greek Life preps for upcoming semester, new recruits

With recruitment season over, fraternities and sororities will now shift their focus to the initiation process of joining a Greek life organization. During the next several weeks, new members will get a closer glimpse of what it is like to be a part of that respective Greek life organization. 

WLU fraternity raises $3,000 for ALS research, victims

On Friday, March 24, West Liberty University’s Phi Delta Theta fraternity held an event to help raise money for the ALS Association and a local family affected by Lou Gehrig’s disease. The event was held at the G-Top with over 200 people attending their black tie event. 

Students should keep an open mind for Spring Fling

As we approach the end of the school year, there are still many things to do before this year is in the books from Greek Week and Spring Fling to papers, finals and so much more. For those who have not yet heard, Spring Fling is scheduled to be held in the Union this year. No matter how you may feel about this decision, it is important to keep an open mind and give it a fair chance before rushing to judgement.

Beta Rho Epsilon hosts Relay for Life this Saturday

Relay for Life is just around the corner, which means the sisters of Beta Rho Epsilon are hard at work planning their annual event. The walk is April 8, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 4 pm. and will take place in the ASRC. 
 
This year’s theme will be “Finding A Cure,” which means tables, games, décor, and prizes will be “Finding Dory” themed. The goal is to inspire those with cancer to “Just Keep Swimming!”

Greek life organizations await revival on campus

When it comes to opportunities to join organizations on campus, many students turn to West Liberty University’s Greek Life. With five sororities and four fraternities, there are many options if a student wishes to “Go Greek.” However, come spring 2017, there will be a new fraternity opportunity as Theta Xi Fraternity makes its way to campus. 

Phi Beta Lambda finds continued success in numbers
