West Liberty University’s student co-directed play “Secret in the Wings” opens at Kelly Theater at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29.
The play, written by Mary Zimmerman, is based on a collection of fairy tales. She is an American theater and opera director and playwright from Nebraska. The story is about thoughtless parents that let an Ogre babysit their daughter and the Ogre reads books to her.
WLU Theatre Director Michael Aulick invited senior theatre major Callie Carroll as a co-director to optimize the play.
Carroll is excited about being involved in the play. She was a theater fan since she was eight years old, going into theatre has been a way for her to make friends. She directed one time in high school.
The talented student feels confident about having a fantastic show night. She believes the audience will only see more and more interesting scenes and get involved once they sit down in the theatre.
