Plans revealed for new apartments slated for fall

West Liberty University will open two new apartments to students in the fall of 2019 across the road on Van Meter Way, West Liberty, W.Va. The new apartment concept was introduced for the first time during the WLU Board of Governors meeting on Oct. 3 in order to solve the need of more campus housing.

Hilltop Players inspire with ‘The Miracle Worker’

The Hilltop Players opened the 2018-19 season with “The Miracle Worker,” a play inspired by the relationship of Helen Keller, who lost her sight and hearing leading to the inability to speak, and her teacher and mentor, Annie Sullivan.

Hilltoppers travel to Concord for penultimate MEC game

Last weekend the West Liberty University football team took care of business in front of a huge homecoming crowd, as they were able to take down West Virginia State in a 36-24 game. The Hilltoppers will be back in action today, Oct. 27, at noon against the Concord Mountain Lions in a battle between Mountain East Conference teams. 

WLU soccer takes on Wheeling rival in final doubleheader

West Liberty soccer will travel to Wheeling Jesuit this Saturday for their last regular-season matchup. The Lady Toppers will use this matchup as preparation for postseason play while the men’s team looks to end the season with a win.

WLU volleyball hosts Concord, UVa-Wise this weekend

Rojas named as study abroad coordinator

Dr. Felipe Rojas, assistant professor of Spanish at West Liberty University, has just been named the study abroad coordinator.  
This position has many duties, including providing students with the support, information, and encouragement needed to go further into the field of international studies.
