WLU releases plans for 2017 fall commencement

West Liberty’s Fall 2017 Commencement Ceremony will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 9 in the ASRC. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. and tickets are not required to enter. A reception will follow commencement in the College Union immediately after.

Finals weeks can be very stressful for students if they do not know how to approach it in a sane way. Everyone is focused on studying for exams and finishing projects, but unlike what one might think, studying non-stop is not the most productive way to prepare. Here are some tips on how to stay sane during finals, to make the best out of it.

Historic season for WLU volleyball comes to an end

“We can expect another history making season from the Lady Toppers next year.” 
These were the words that closed the Trumpet’s recap for the West Liberty women’s volleyball team after 2016’s 23-win season and MEC Tournament semifinal appearance. After this season’s 20-14, 9-7 MEC season, and an MEC Tournament Finals appearance, and near victory over the Atlantic Region powerhouse Wheeling Jesuit, it is safe to say that the Lady Toppers have not only met those expectations, but have exceeded them in every way.

Men’s basketball seeks sixth straight win this weekend

Women’s basketball set to host Notre Dame College

Notre Dame (Ohio) will travel to the hilltop this Saturday to matchup against our Lady Toppers. For West Liberty, this hasn’t been the start that newly hired head coach, Kyle Cooper, was hoping for. WLU will look to get back on track and win against one of the top teams in the Mountain East Conference (MEC).
