Campus offers various printing services

By Walker Polivka, Contributing Writer

As students go through the school year, they all have one thing in common that they have to do: term papers. Term papers and essays can be a burden for most college students, but what is worse is the printing process. One would think this is the easy part, but alas, it is not because some students do not have access to a printer. Here are some places that offer printing services to students at West Liberty University.

Your best bet initially is trying to find a friend who may have a printer in his or her room. This is most obviously the cheapest source of finding a place to print, but not everyone has friends who have printers.

The Center for Arts and Education is one of the places to print on campus.

One location on campus that has printers is the Elbin Library. However, the one downside is that they charge for it. The library charges $0.25 per page in black and white and $.50 per page in color. The library’s hours are: Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. It is closed on Saturday.

Another location is the Center for Arts and Education on the first floor of Main Hall. They will only print in black and white, but their printing services are free to all students! The center is open Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If you are a business major, you can use the printer in the Gary E. West College of Business Student Lounge on the second floor of Main Hall. However, you must bring your own paper and it is for students in the College of Business only.

The lounge in the College of Business is also available for printing needs

A last case scenario would be to talk with your professors during office hours and see if they can help you out with printing. Some professors are understanding; it does not hurt to ask.

These are some of the best and easiest places to print on campus. If you can find other places, that’s great! Ask around and check in your respective college’s departments to see what other services are available.
