Men’s Basketball to take on Clarion

Coach Crutchfield’s unbeaten men’s basketball team is set to take on Clarion University, Sunday Dec. 13. The game will take place at West Liberty in the ASRC at 4pm.

In Division II NCAA basketball, this standout team has recently taken over the No. 1 rank in the nation. Heading into the game, the Hilltoppers are 8-0 on the season, and 4-0 in conference wins. Meanwhile, Clarion is currently 6-4 in game action this season and 4-2 in conference games.

In thinking about the upcoming game, Seger Bonifant, a senior All-American for the Hilltoppers, said, “I feel confident. We’ve been playing well as a team, and I’m really excited.” As for the season, Bonifant said that the team has goals “to win the conference tournament and hopefully make it to the National tournament and win that as well.”

Crutchfield’s team has a promising season ahead of them, so come out and show some support for the black and gold! This seasons schedule is posted online, and can be accessed at Hilltopper sports online. Tip off for Sunday’s game is 4 p.m.
