University Place Apartments Pet Request and Agreement

- Financial Aid Options
- Athletic, performance-based, or media arts housing scholarships cannot be utilized for University Place 1 or 2 Apartments.
- Academic housing scholarships will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. In some cases, the Financial Aid Department may be able to use alternate funding to cover an academic housing scholarship assuming eligibility requirements are being met. Your housing application will be shared with the Financial Aid Department should you have an academic housing scholarship that needs reviewed.
- Students can choose to cancel their housing scholarship and still reside in UP1 or UP2 as well.
- Move In Date
- Move in early on the Saturday prior to the start of term in August.
- Housing Contract Options
- Residents may sign up for a contract for the academic year, or for an extended lease for 12 months. A resident who selects the 12 month option would be permitted to remain in the apartment through the winter break, spring break, and summer months.
- Appliances
- Residents in University Place 1 and 2 Apartments are permitted to have additional appliances in their kitchens, including toasters, Foreman grills, slow cookers, sandwich makers, waffle makers, coffee pots, and clothing irons.
- Alcohol
- Residents who are at least 21 years of age are permitted to have alcohol in their apartments. No one under the age of 21 may be present when alcohol is present. Additionally presidents are permitted to have no more than six 12 oz. cans of beer per roommate in the apartment. Glass bottles, mass quantity containers, beer bongs, etc. are prohibited.
- Pets
- Animals required to live in cages, terrariums, or aquariums are permitted, including ferrets, rabbits, lizards, guinea pigs, and hamsters. Pets must be approved prior to arrival in the residential facilities and an additional pet deposit must be paid prior to arrival. Cats, dogs and snakes are not permitted.
- Gender Neutral Housing
- Residents may select to reside with members of another gender in University Place 1 or 2 Apartments.
