Medical Knowledge                                          

1.      Demonstrate knowledge of the basic medical sciences.

2.      Apply knowledge of medical sciences to distinguish normal variations from disease.

3.     Develop safe and appropriate management plans that prioritize clinical interventions based upon patient conditions.

4.    Demonstrate the ability to make informed decisions about care of patients consistent with up-to-date scientific evidence and sound clinical judgement.

      Interpersonal and Communication Skills

1.      Demonstrate effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication that results in the exchange of information and collaboration with patients, families, caregivers, and members of the healthcare team. 

2.     Incorporate sensitivity, honesty, and compassion in ethical conversations.

1.       Perform and document a thorough and accurate history and physical exam across all age groups.

2.     Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with attention to patient safety.

3.      Interpret diagnostic laboratory and radiographic tests.

4.     Provide patient education, counseling, resources, and referrals.

1.      Formulate a differential diagnosis and working diagnosis based upon patient history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies.  

2.     Order relevant diagnostic studies.

3.     Develop effective treatment plans that include pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.

4.    Identify appropriate site of care for presenting conditions.  

5.     Evaluate patient outcomes for accuracy of diagnosis, effectiveness of interventions, and patient adherence to treatment plans.
