WLU’s Charles O’Data Final Presenter of 2010 Financial Planning Seminar Series “Financial Planning in Uncertain Times”

The seventh and final session of West Liberty University’s 2010 Financial Planning Seminar Series titled “Financial Planning in Uncertain Times,will feature Charles O’Data, a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) with West Liberty University.

O’Data will deliver the seminar, “Income Retention and Philanthropy: How Charitable Trusts, Gift Annuities, and Life Insurance Can be Structured to Enhance Income and Preserve Wealth,” on Thursday, August 5th, at 7:00 p.m. at the West Liberty University Highlands location where the series returns for its final session.

O’Data is an instructor for professional certification with the Association of Fund Raising Professionals and is well published on subjects ranging from Charitable Gift Annuities to the role of Life Insurance in Philanthropy.  In addition to his work in education, O’Data has served as Chief Financial Officer for the Pittsburgh Symphony and Heinz Hall.

He brings a national reputation to our campus having conducted seminars for the American Symphony Orchestra League, the Association of Fund Raising Professionals, the American Council of Gift Annuities and many others,” commented Ron Witt, Director of Planned Giving at WLU. “It is very appropriate that Mr. O’Data, who has played an integral role in making this series a success, will serve as the final presenter this season.”
