WLU Thanks Retirees

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va., Dec. 21, 2017 — Six employees of West Liberty University are retiring from their professional duties this December.

“We wish our retiring employees all the best in their future and invite them to return to the Hilltop often,” said President Stephen Greiner recently at a reception held in honor of retiring Chief Information Officer Jim Clark.

Clark served the university for 16 years, managing IT employees and all information technology issues. Most recently, he played a leadership role in the $800,000 upgrade to the campus wireless service, which has increased Internet speed and availability significantly across campus and at all athletic events.

All December retirees will be honored at an end-of-year reception planned for May 2018.

As of December 2017, West Liberty University employed 287 individuals, which includes faculty and staff, both full and part time. Its website can be accessed at westliberty.edu/human-resources.
