WLU Sending Students to Europe and Asia to Study Abroad

Eight West Liberty University students will study abroad in France, two in China and one in England under a grant from the school, President Robin Capehart announced today.

WLU’s Campus Internationalization Committee chose the winners based on their scholarship and performance in an interview process conducted by school administrators and faculty.

“These students have earned an exciting opportunity to prepare for an increasingly globalized 21st Century,” said Capehart.  “West Liberty is proud of its study abroad program.”

Capehart thanked those from campus who chose the grant recipients:  Beverly Burke, Shannon Halicki, Mia Szabo, Evan Lau and Mohamed Youssef.

The WLU students going abroad and their destinations are:

FRANCE: Lily Pitha, Andrea Renshaw, Olivia McIntosh, Michelle Adkins, Christopher Gallaway, Brett Boyce, Rebecca Childers, Rozen Neupane

ENGLAND: Jessica Crighton

CHINA: Natalie Games, Andrew Simmons
