Angie Zambito has been named the new Director of Major Gifts in the Office of Institutional Advancement at West Liberty University.  Zambito joined WLU in March 2010 as a Development Officer and quickly advanced to her current position.

Reporting directly to Jason Koegler, VP of Institutional Advancement, Zambito’s primary responsibilities will include engaging individual donors, corporations, and foundations in fundraising efforts to support the university.

“I am very excited to focus my energies on growing majors gifts at the university for initiatives such as construction of the new Health Sciences building. ” said Zambito

Zambito has a history of fundraising success, having worked for both Oglebay Institute and the Dioceses of Wheeling-Charleston. She coordinated the statewide development campaign for Catholic Charities of WV.

“Angie brings great enthusiasm and fundraising experience to West Liberty. Her cultivation of new relationships and her ability to engage potential donors with the university makes her a strong asset to our team,” said WLU President Robin Capehart.

Zambito earned a BA in French and History from Wheeling Jesuit University in 2005. She sits on the Board for the Museum of the Ohio River and is a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph Heath and Wellness Foundation Board. Born and raised in Wheeling, Angie resides in Woodsdale and is engaged to Chad Hill, also from Wheeling.
