WLU Appoints New Alumni Director

POSTED:  Aug. 9, 2012 – Shane T. Stack ’10 is now the full-time director of alumni relations at West Liberty University. Stack began his duties July 1, 2012.

“I am very pleased to be selected as alumni director. It is important for us to bring alumni together to support West Liberty and my hope is to take the alumni association to new levels in the areas of engagement, networking, mentoring and fundraising,” Stack said. WLU has more than 22,000 active alumni and activities include events planned by WLU and by alumni chapters found in Florida, Pittsburgh, Wheeling and other cities and states.

A 2010 graduate of WLU with a degree in business administration, Shane was formerly employed with the West Liberty University Research Corporation as program director.

While a student at West Liberty, Stack served two terms as student body president and was the student representative and voting member on the WLU board of governors.

A native of Powhatan Point, Ohio, Stack also is the treasurer for the town of West Liberty, a position he’s held for three years. Stack attends St. Johns United Church of Christ in Powhatan Point where he serves as a trustee on the church council. He also is the junior warden of Masonic Lodge #597 F. & A.M. in Clarington, Ohio, and a member of the Osiris Shrine, Wheeling.

Stack and his fiancée Michelle Pissos reside in the Woodsdale neighborhood of Wheeling.
