West Liberty University (WLU) and West Virginia Northern Community College (WVNCC) have forged a partnership to enable WNCC graduates to seamlessly transfer to WLU to earn a Bachelor’s Degree. The official announcement will take place at 10:15 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at the WVNCC B&O Building auditorium in downtown Wheeling.

WVNCC students completing the general transfer degree program and graduating with either an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science Degree will be granted a junior status to complete their work toward a bachelor’s degree at WLU.

WVNCC tuition rates will apply for the first two years. Duplication of courses taken is virtually eliminated and credit will be given for WVNCC courses that are transferred to WLU. Students will have the opportunity to affordably obtain a Bachelor’s Degree without leaving the area and on a seamless track.

“This joint venture will help students earn marketable skills for the workplace and provide for a well-rounded college education,” stated WLU President Robin Capehart.  “We look forward to a long-term relationship with Northern.”

Prospective students may contact the WLU Office of Admissions at (304) 336-8076 or WVNCC at (304) 233-5900 Wheeling; (304) 723-2210 Weirton; or (304) 455-4684 New Martinsville, ext. 8838.
