Share

The Gary E. West College of Business at West Liberty University is sponsoring a three-day continuing professional education program on accounting fraud investigation. The course will be offered May 2-4 at the Best Western Parkway Center Inn in Pittsburgh.

The Accredited Fraud Investigator program is a 24-credit-hour non-degree certificate program that includes classroom instruction, case studies and a comprehensive examination. To qualify for AFI designation, participants must complete the coursework and pass the examination.

The program profiles the world of forensic accounting. A panel of expert instructors will present a complete overview of fraud investigation, including elements of fraud, legal issues, financial statement analysis and a discussion of the range of investigative tools available. Public and government accountants, law enforcement personnel, attorneys, internal and independent auditors, fraud investigators, educators, financial officers and their accounting staff and any business person wanting to safeguard his or her organization’s assets should consider attending this valuable training program.

Tuition of $1,850 includes three days of instruction, course materials, refreshments and the examination fee. For more detailed information about the program, including registration requirements, CPE/CLE credits and applicable discounts, contact Stacey Halloran, administrative director of the Forensic Institute, at (304) 522-8770 or visit the website at www.theforensicinstitute.org/afi.
