WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — West Liberty University music students Lee Currie, Caleb McKeegan, Alex Marchese, Tiffany Sites, Carly Fox, and Ashton Cornell have been selected to perform in WLU’s 2026 Honors Recital.
West Liberty University’s Division of Music will present its annual Honors Recital at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, in College Hall’s Elbin Auditorium. The recital is free and open to the public.
The annual Honors Recital celebrates outstanding musical talent in WLU’s Division of Music. Students are selected for this recital through a competitive audition.
“The Honors Recital is one of the highlights of our academic year,” said Jerry Lee, Professor of Piano at West Liberty University. “These students have demonstrated exceptional dedication and musicianship, and this recital is a well-earned opportunity to showcase their talents.”
Below are biographies for the six students performing in the Honors Recital:
Lee Currie is a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Technology. They/she is from New Martinsville, West Virginia and studies voice with Dr. Linda Cowan. Upon graduation, Lee plans to work at a studio or venue where they/she can mix live sound.
Caleb McKeegan is a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology with a minor in music. He is from Saint Clairsville, Ohio and studies saxophone with Professor Tess Vanek. Upon graduation, Caleb plans to study marine biology at the graduate level.
Alex Marchese is a freshman pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. He is from New Cumberland, West Virginia and studies tuba with Professor Evan Robinson. Upon graduation, Alex plans to pursue ordination in the Church of the Nazarene.
Tiffany Sites is a senior pursuing two Bachelor of Music degrees in Music Technology and Vocal Performance. She is from Keyser, West Virginia and studies voice with Dr. Linda Cowan. Upon graduation, Tiffany plans to work as assistant librarian for the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra while writing, producing, and performing music under her stage name, Epiphany.
Carly Fox is a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education. She is from New Stanton, Pennsylvania and studies voice with Dr. Linda Cowan. Upon graduation, Carly plans to teach music in the public schools.
Ashton Cornell is a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance. They are from Fairmont, West Virginia and studies voice with Dr. Linda Cowan. Upon graduation, Ashton plans to continue performing voice as well as teach applied lessons and ensembles.
