WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — Representatives from West Liberty University’s Nu Theta Chapter of Chi Omega recently attended the 66th Biennial Chi Omega Convention in Phoenix, Arizona, joining collegiate and alumnae members from chapters across the country for leadership development, organizational business, and recognition of chapter achievements.

Held every two years, the Biennial Convention brings together representatives from each Chi Omega chapter to conduct national business, exchange ideas and best practices, strengthen sisterhood, and welcome newly installed chapters into the organization.

Representing West Liberty University was Madison Stratton, the chapter’s Treasurer, Foundation Ambassador, and Career and Personal Development Chair, who participated in the President’s Parade, a convention tradition in which each chapter president or designated representative carries their chapter’s flag during the opening ceremony.

During the convention, the Nu Theta Chapter was recognized with the Stash of Achievement Award, presented to chapters that increased their annual scorecard by 15 or more points compared to the previous evaluation period. The award recognizes the chapter’s continued growth and commitment to excellence.

“Failure is not the end of your story; it’s the beginning of a new chapter,” one convention speaker shared, encouraging attendees to view challenges as opportunities for growth.

Madison and the Nu Theta Chapter returned to campus with new ideas and leadership experiences that will help strengthen the organization and continue fostering personal and professional development among its members.
