Evening Formal at Oglebay To Relive 1920’s;
Benefit for University’s New Health Care Sciences Building

One of the Wheeling area’ s biggest celebrations ever is fast approaching, West
Liberty University’s first ever Great Gala, a formal evening event with a 1920’ s-period theme.

The Great Gala is set for April 30 in the Glessner Auditorium at the lodge at Oglebay Park.
Festivities begin with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and entertainment at 7 p.m.
Along with an exquisite meal, cocktails and beverages at the Speakeasy bar, there will be spectacular
music by the Boilermaker Jazz Band of Pittsburgh and Great Gatsby-style fun.

“This will be one of the premiere social events of the year,” said Amy Elliott with Visiting
Angels, a DeFeliceCare company, title sponsor for the event. “ All proceeds will support the
construction of the new Health Care Sciences Building on the West Liberty campus.”
