WEST LIBERTY, W.Va., April 7, 2020 — Summer is a great time to get a head start on college and West Liberty University wants to ensure its students’ safety by offering online classes beginning May 11.

Summer courses in May will be online.

“Our summer courses in May will be strictly online to allow for social distancing and to allay any pandemic concerns,” said Scott Cook, vice president of Student Services and Registrar

“We have many choices and encourage interested students to take a look at summer class schedules. These classes are accelerated, yet enjoyable and offer an opportunity to get ahead,” he added.

Two terms are planned, one begins May 11 and the second term begins on June 22. There also is a third term that begins June 29 for students enrolled in the Physician Assistant Studies master’s degree program.

Students may register online up to the beginning date of each Summer Term. General studies courses and classes in topics like art, business, computer information, communications, history, music, physical education and science are some of the subjects being offered. Visit westliberty.edu/summer for a complete list.

Students will be limited to a maximum scholastic load of six semester hours during each summer term and are encouraged to check the catalog to make sure they have met all pre-requisites and course restrictions.

Financial aid is awarded to eligible applicants on a funds-available basis, please email the Financial Aid Office at finaid@westliberty.edu or call 304-336-8016.
