Summer Classes Are Half Price

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va., March 11, 2019 — Summer is the perfect time to get a head start on college. It’s also the best time to save some cash for students accepted at West Liberty University.

Studying on the quad is better in the summer.

“Our summer class tuition is discounted by 50 percent so it’s a great time to sign up and take a few courses to catch up or get ahead start on your college degree,” said Scott Cook, who serves as vice president of student services and registrar.

“Even though summer classes are accelerated, students say they find summer classes are enjoyable and the environment is relaxed,” he added.

Students may register online up to the beginning date of each Summer Term and classes are offered in both four and six-week formats.

Summer Terms include:

General studies courses in topics like art, business, computer information, communications, history, music, physical education and science are some of the subjects being offered.

All courses meet five days a week unless otherwise noted on the class schedule. Students will be limited to a maximum scholastic load of six semester hours during each summer term and are encouraged to check the catalog to make sure they have met all pre-requisites and course restrictions.

Financial aid is awarded to eligible applicants on a funds-available basis. Summer financial applications are available in the Enrollment Service Office, Room 121, Shaw Hall.

Any student wishing to attend summer school who is not enrolled at WLU for the Spring Semester 2019 must complete an application for admission and must be admitted to the University before registering for classes.
