Sue Seibert Farnsworth Presents “Medical and Durable Powers of Attorney, Wills, Trusts, Probate, and Estate Administration” as part of WLU Financial Planning Series

West Liberty University serves as host of the summer Financial Planning Seminar Series: “Financial Planning in Uncertain Times” on Thursdays through August 5th, 2010 at WLU’s Highlands Center.

This Thursday, June 24, at 7:00 p.m. the series welcomes Sue Seibert Farnsworth, Attorney at Law and counsel at the firm of Spilman, Thomas & Battle, PLLC, in Wheeling.  Farnsworth will present “Medical and Durable Powers of Attorney, Wills, Trusts, Probate and Estate Administration.”

A graduate of West Virginia University, Farnsworth also earned her Law Degree from WVU.  She has been admitted to the Supreme Court of West Virginia, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia and the United States Tax Court.

Her professional memberships include the Ohio County Bar Association, West Virginia State Bar Association, West Virginia Bar Association and the American Bar Association.  She is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the West Virginia Bar Foundation.

Farnsworth has served as a member and chair of the West Virginia Board of Regents, Commission on Institutions of Higher Education, West Virginia University Board of Advisors and the Wheeling Symphony Board of Directors.  She presently serves on the board of the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley, Wheeling Park Commission, Linsly School, Hall of Fame of the City of Wheeling and West Virginia University Foundation where she was a former chair.

Farnsworth has received numerous honors including the WVU Most Loyal Mountaineer Award, The Order of Vandalia from WVU and the WVU College of Law Justitia Officium Award.
