WEST LIBERTY, W.Va., Dec. 12, 2018 — West Liberty University Visual Communication Design professor Moonjung Kang will be the featured speaker at the International Conference on Convergence Content 2018 on Dec. 18. Kang also is participating in the International Digital Exhibition show to be held December 17-19.

She is currently on sabbatical in Korea where she recently completed special training in User Experience (UX) Design at the RightBrain Academy in Seoul, Korea. UX design focuses on the best practices for intuitive software user interface design.

“Kang will bring this knowledge and skill back to our students at WLU starting next spring and we can’t wait to have this added advantage for our students,” said Dr. Matthew Harder, dean of the College of Arts and Communication.

Kang also was instrumental in building a strong relationship with Hanbat National University and has taken design students to Korea for summer study abroad programs three times.

Kang has many family members, friends and artists to network with in Southeast Asia.

“Since design is an ever-changing topic and cultural practice, teaching design requires regular updates of all materials. This sabbatical work will greatly benefit my ability in updating and refreshing all the coursework that reflect the most current social trends and technological climate. I am anxious to share my knowledge with West Liberty University students,” Kang stated.
