“Catherine represented our school well and worked hard to perform at this high level. This is only the second time that we attended the conference. We also had other students compete and even though they didn’t place, the other schools and officials were impressed with our performance and I’m proud of our chapter,” said Hayden Blazer, West Virginia state president and president for WLU’s chapter.

Hayden Blazer receives his Who’s Who Award.

Blazer is a rising junior from Glen Dale, W.Va., with a major in accounting and a minor in finance. He founded the WLU chapter of Phi Beta Lambda in 2015, which is the first chapter in a university in the state of West Virginia.

Because of his hard work, Blazer received the Who’s Who Award from the West Virginia chapter.

“I would like to thank President Greiner and the entire university for the support and especially the College of Business for helping us fund our trip. Hopefully next year we can take more students and win more titles for WLU,” Blazer added.

Faculty advisors include College of Business faculty and staff, Instructor of Accounting Jim Crumbacher, Professor of Business Law and Entrepreneurship Dr. Carrie White, Dean S. Michael Turrentine, Dr. Jean Bailey (retired dean), Administrative Secretary to Dean Donna Schuler and Associate Professor of Management Dave Wright.
