There also will be a silent pie auction featuring quiche by Sandscrest Chef Sarah Lydick and pie by Library Director Cheryl Harshman, using all-American, organic ingredients. Fresh, homemade popcorn, cotton candy and pepperoni rolls also will be for sale all week or as long as they last.

For those interested in raffles, the Friends of the Library will have a cherry blossom basket raffle with tickets for $1 or 6 for $5.

All proceeds from the week’s activities will benefit the Elbin Library.

Named for Paul N. Elbin, who served as president of West Liberty from 1935 to 1970, the library is the heart of academics at the university and houses more than 200,000 volumes, e-books, e-journals, as well as offers many other resources.
