Local Attorney Jeffrey Rokisky Visits WLU Financial Planning Seminar Series

West Liberty University is serving as host to a Financial Planning Seminar Series titled “Financial Planning in Uncertain Times” on Thursdays through August 5th, 2010 at WLU’s Highlands Center.

Thursday, July 8, at 7:00 p.m. the series welcomes, Attorney at Law, Jeffrey Rokisky from Weirton.  Attorney Rokisky will discuss “Medicaid laws pertaining to individuals entering a nursing home, as well as planning techniques to protect assets from long term care expenses.”

A graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in accounting and a law degree from WVU, Jeffrey Rokisky is the senior attorney of Rokisky and Associates. He has offices in Weirton, Wheeling, Morgantown, Clarksburg, Elkins and Robinson Township in Pennsylvania. For the past twenty years his practice has focused on Elder Law, Medicaid Planning, estate planning and trusts.

A frequent seminar speaker, Attorney Rokisky authors a monthly column of elder law advice carried in “Boomers and Beyond,” a section for seniors published in the Intelligencer. He also hosts the television show “Senior Living Today.”

Mr. Rokisky has a Masters Degree in Tax and Estate Planning from the University of  San Diego School of Law. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, as well as the bar associations of West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and California.

“Attorney Rokisky brings a special presentation to the series. Elder Law has become a real specialty today and we are looking forward to his informative presentation,” said Ron Witt, Director of Planned Giving at West Liberty University.
