“I am so proud to represent my university and my fraternity as Homecoming King. It’s been a great day,” said Weekley, who is a senior and plans on entering WLU’s bridge program after commencement so that he can build a career in medicine as either a physician or a physician assistant. He is from Sistersville, W.Va.

The crowning ceremony took place at halftime during the 1 p.m., Oct. 12 Homecoming football game against the Concord University. The Hilltoppers dominated the game, winning with a score of 47-6.

Bender is a human biology major from Burgettstown, Pa., representing Lambda Psi Sigma. She is the daughter of Debbie and Michael Bender and plans on being a physician assistant after commencement.

Voting took place last Wednesday when the student body voted on candidates in the College Union.

Also honored at the Homecoming game were this year’s Wall of Honor alumni, California engineering CEO Fred Kinder and Main Street Bank CEO Rich Lucas of Wheeling.
