WEST LIBERTY, W.Va., Nov. 21, 2017— It will be another festive celebration of choral music as the West Liberty University Choirs present their annual holiday concert on Sunday, Dec. 3 at Vance Memorial Presbyterian Church.

The choir is shown in a previous holiday concert at Vance Church.

With both 3 and 7 p.m. performances, the holiday concert offers a choice in times and is open to the public. Tickets, available at the door, are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. WLU student tickets are free.

Under the direction of Ryan Keeling, the concert will feature the WLU College Community Chorus performing John Rutter’s Gloria with brass, percussion, and organ, and Julian Wachner’s suite of carols for brass, harp, organ, and percussion, The Snow Lay on the Ground

Also performing will be the WLU Singers featuring Jonathan Dove’s “Seek Him that Maketh the Seven Stars” with organ.

“With opportunities for the audience to sing along, this is sure to be a joyful way to usher in the holiday season and we invite everyone to join us,” Keeling said. There are 35 voices in the WLU Singers and 70 in the College Community Choir.

A resident of Pittsburgh, Keeling joined WLU as its director of Choral Activities this past July. Also an alumnus, he is the artistic director of Western Pennsylvania’s premier chamber choir Voces Solis and assistant conductor of the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, as well as the Music Director of OvreArts.
