West Liberty, W. Va., November 20, 2024 – Come sing along with Christmas carols, and enjoy seasonal organ and choral music as the West Liberty University (WLU) Department of Music & Theater presents a concert of holiday music at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024 in the Interfaith Chapel on campus.
The concert will feature local organist Wayne Earnest, the WLU Singers, student-led ACDA Choir, and several soloists. Earnest, along with music major Ken Kittell, will perform solo pieces on the Moller Pipe Organ in the sanctuary of the chapel.
“We are very happy to offer this concert for the campus and local community. The Moller organ is a real treasure and we are thrilled to feature this instrument on this concert,” says Dr. Matthew Harder, Chair of the Department of Music & Theater.
The concert is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted and go towards supporting the Department of Music & Theater and its programs.
The WLU Department of Music & Theater showcases student talent through a series of annual concerts and brings accomplished musicians to campus year-round for the public and students to enjoy.
