WEST LIBERTY, W.Va., Nov. 16, 2016 — Enjoy a festive celebration of choral music brought together by the West Liberty University Department of Music on Sunday, Dec. 4 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph.

Under the direction of WLU Director of Choral Activities Scott Glysson, the concert will take place twice, at 3 and 7 p.m. and will be perfect for all ages.

“We look forward to this annual Christmas tradition and hope that the community will join us and even sing along,” said Glysson, who is also an assistant professor of music at the university.

This concert includes the voices of students from across the Ohio Valley, including, Wheeling Middle School Chorus, directed by Wendy Seidewitz; Brooke High School, directed by Celesta Byard; Wheeling Park High School, directed by Joyce Jingle; John Marshall High School, directed by David Sherrick; and the West Liberty University Singers.

St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church Music Director Robert Troeger will be playing the organ for the concert.

The program includes sing-along Christmas Carols, favorite holiday songs, songs less well known and ends with a candlelit rendition of Silent Night.
