Hazlett, Burt & Watson’s Bernadette M. Smith Joins WLU Financial Planning Series

For the fifth session of West Liberty University’s 2010 Financial Planning Seminar Series titled “Financial Planning in Uncertain Times”, local investment adviser Bernadette M. Smith, Senior Vice President/Investments with the firm of Hazlett, Burt & Watson, Inc. of Wheeling will serve as the featured speaker.

Smith will deliver the seminar ”Crisis of Confidence: How Today’s Market Impacts Your Investments – An Economic Update and Market Outlook” on Thursday, July 22, at 7:00 p.m. at the WLU Highlands Center.

Smith is a Registered Investment Advisor with Security Capital Management, a division of Hazlett, Burt and Watson.  Smith joined the firm in 2003 and consistently ranks as one of its top producers, specializing in comprehensive investment and retirement strategies for both individuals and businesses.

Smith additionally serves on the board of the United Way for the Upper Ohio Valley, Inc., and the West Liberty University Foundation, is a member of the Financial Planning Association, and is a Commissioner for the Wheeling Housing Authority.

“Ms. Smith’s presentation is very timely and undoubtedly will serve an integral part of our series,” commented Ron Witt, Director of Planned Giving for West Liberty University.
