“We are pleased to receive this very positive rating for our graphic design program. Here at WLU, we call it Visual Communication Design and receiving this news is a wonderful affirmation of the hard work of our dedicated faculty and a testament to the tremendous work that our students produce,” said Dr. Matthew D. Harder, dean of the College of Arts and Communication.

Graphic design programs were assessed on several different factors to evaluate their quality and to help future graphic design students pick the best school.

According to Animation Career Review, the criteria included academic reputation, admissions selectivity, value as it relates to tuition and indebtedness as well as depth and breadth of the program.

The graphic design rankings have been published since 2015. In total, 729 colleges and universities have been considered for this year’s ranking.

The Visual Communication Design degree curriculum prepares students for employment opportunities in the rapidly changing design field by nourishing their abilities and creativity to become visual explorers.
