Additionally, we had 1 positive employee COVID-19 report made last week.

WLU was notified today of the rollout of the COVID Vaccine Booster program in Ohio County, necessitating a change in the upcoming Moderna second dose clinic, originally planned for Wednesday, Sept. 29 on campus. The Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department apologizes for any inconvenience, but due to the reopening of its Vaccination Clinic at the Highlands, it is unable to be on campus Wednesday.

The Moderna COVID vaccine 2nd dose clinic originally planned for campus is therefore relocated to the Community Vaccination Center, 550 Cabela Drive, Triadelphia, at the Highlands. (Site of the previous Michaels Store). Hours of operation for the Vaccination Center are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday-Friday. All booster vaccinations will require an official COVID-19 vaccination card or VAMS Certification.

Anyone wishing to start the COVID vaccine series is urged to visit the Community Vaccine Center. Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson vaccines will be available.

West Liberty University encourages all employees and students to get vaccinated and to remain vigilant in our pandemic response protocol.
