COVID-19 Update

Share

The following message was shared with campus on Nov. 30, during the online-only week of exams prior to the virtual commencement ceremony planned for 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 5:

Dear Students,

First of all, congratulations on making it to the end of this most unusual fall semester. Your persistent academic efforts and desire to follow our COVID-19 rules, allowed us to make it this far safely. We are grateful.

As we look ahead to the January 2021 term, we will conduct classes in remote-only (online) formats through the first week of the spring semester (Jan. 19 – 23). This will allow us to test everyone as we return to campus as mandated by the state of West Virginia. In-seat classes will begin Jan. 25, 2021.

Please continue to check your West Liberty University official email accounts over the winter break so that you stay informed about changes as they crop up.

Stay healthy and continue to follow pandemic best practices of masking up, social distancing and sanitizing hands during this long break so that we can enjoy seeing our students again in January 2021.
