Building on a ‘Divine Design’

Share

As the one year anniversary of the Campbell Hall of Health Sciences groundbreaking approaches on July 1, the new $23-million building is rapidly taking shape and drawing attention from students, alumni, friends and the entire community. Many donors have joined the effort and supported the Capital Campaign, which in turn supports the Campbell Hall project. Campbell Hall is the first new academic building to take shape on the Hilltop since 1975.

Recently, the Wheeling News-Register ran an article, “Building on a ‘Divine Design,'” in its Sunday, June 16 edition that featured the support of the Jan Taylor family in the construction effort. Jan was a longtime dental hygienist in the Ohio Valley who graduated from WLU in 1976 and worked for Dr. James S. Wilson in Glen Dale, W.Va. for nearly 40 years. She tragically died in June 2012, after a five-week battle with liver cancer.

West Liberty University is grateful for the family’s gift toward the Campbell Hall of Health Sciences and the dental hygiene department, which will relocate to the new Campbell Hall in the near future.
