Legendary head coach Lynn Ullom and his two-time defending Mountain East Conference champion Lady Hilltoppers finished off a record-setting 2015-16 campaign as the No. 18-ranked team in the nation after posting a school-record 29 wins and embarking on a post-season run that carried them all the way to the NCAA Division II “Sweet 16.”

Ullom, who has averaged more than 20 wins a year during his quarter-century on the hilltop, passed the 500-win milestone during the season and was honored by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association as a 2016 WBCA Victory Award Club recipient.

His 525-232 (.694) career record ranks him among the nation’s top 15 NCAA Division II coaches in both wins and winning percentage.

Ullom and associate head coach Kyle Cooper will be welcoming back several key players from this year’s historic squad for the 2016-17 season with many of them planning to be on hand as part of the instructional staff at the WLU Women’s Basketball Camp.

The camp, which will focus on individual skill development, is open to all girls who will be entering grades 3-9 in the fall. Each day features age-specific skill development drills along with multiple games and contests allowing each individual the opportunity to put those skills to the test in game situations.

Campers will be able to take a swim break in the afternoons before returning to the ASRC for more evening games. Post-game evening activities include Movie Night, a camp social and plenty of quality time with the Lady Hilltopper players, who will be staying in the dorms with the overnight campers.

Cost of the camp is $150 for commuter campers, which includes lunch and dinner each day, and $200 for overnight campers, which covers all meals and lodging expenses. Campers must have proof of insurance and a recent physical.

Detailed information, coaches’ bios and secure online registration are available by logging onto the camp website: westlibertywomensbasketballcamps.com. Early registration is recommended as enrollment will be limited in order to maximize individual instruction time.
