According to Ron Witt, Director of the WLU Alumni Association, events set for Saturday provide activities for the entire family including an appearance by Miss West Virginia, and 2009 West Liberty University Graduate, Cali Young.

“We are really looking forward to a fun and festive homecoming weekend on the hilltop as we welcome back alumni, friends and the local community for this annual fall celebration.  Having Miss West Virginia join us for photos and autographs, the traditional Pittsburgh Alumni Chapter kielbasa, carnival-type games for all ages and possibly a few other surprises.  It’s going to be a great day on the hilltop,” said Witt.

Saturday activities are to include the homecoming parade at 10 a.m., tailgating in the Academic, Sports, and Recreation Complex (ASRC) parking lot, homecoming festival with food, games, the WLU football team taking on Glenville State, game time at 1p.m. and a post-game party at River City Restaurant, located in downtown Wheeling, set for 7 p.m.

The homecoming activities conclude on Sunday with a Lifetime Membership Brunch at The WLU Highlands Center at 10 a.m. “The Lifetime Membership Brunch is an opportunity for us to say thank you and show our appreciation for the generous support of our alumni,” added Witt.
