Welcome to the West Liberty Recording Studio page. We recently updated our 450 sq ft control room with Slate Raven MTI2 touch-screen control surfaces and top-of-the-line preamps from Neve, Warm Audio, and Focusrite. The studio uses a Heritage RAM monitor controller and interchangeable near-field monitors from Yamaha, Event, JBL, and Focal. A complete equipment list is below.
The WLU Recording Studio was designed for audio recording from the ground up. The studio space is large enough for rock bands, small choirs, jazz combos, etc., but also intimate enough for duos and soloists. The control room is large enough for classroom-style teaching. Each space features industry-standard acoustic treatment including bass traps, absorptive panels, reflective panels, acoustic insulation, concrete pad isolation, and diffusers.
The recording studio is connected to other spaces in the Media Arts Center including a voice-over/vocal booth, the large WLU-TV television studio, and Kelly Theater.
The studio offers a comprehensive learning space while maintaining a comfortable working environment for commercial clients.
