The Electronic Music Ensemble (EME) is open to all students of the University by interview with the director. The EME performs original compositions, arrangements, and classic electronic music. The EME performs annually at the MADFest, and in-concert on and off-campus.
Since we were not able to perform live in Spring 2020, the Final Assignment was “Ambient Dysphony”. Each member of the EME recorded his/her own part and then I assembled the short recordings using classic ambient compositional techniques (and a lot of reverb – with a big nod to Pauline Oliveros’ Deep Listening).
