The Electronic Music Concert begins at 7:30pm in Elbin Auditorium on the West Liberty University campus. All Division of Music concerts are free and open to the public.
The concert features the World Premiere of a new work by Dr. Matthew Harder called Power for gyil and electronic sound. Dr. Michael Vercelli, from West Virginia University, will be performing on the gyil, a West African xylophone. Dr. Vercelli is widely known as a master performer and scholar of the gyil.
The concert also features solo performances by students from the Live Electronic Music class, as well as student “tape” pieces.
