Jared Thompson

Jared is an Assistant Professor for Digital Media Design and the former Creative Video Director for the Office of Marketing and Brand Management at West Liberty University. Prior to that, he worked for over 12 years in live production. During his time at West Liberty, he has created and produced numerous commercials, promos, shows, and athletic events. Some of his work has been featured on CNBC Squawk Alley in 2014. Jared operates a small business, Thompson Video, out of his home in Wheeling and has also served as the web content producer for the West Virginia Governor’s School for the Arts since 2008. In fact, Jared was one of the first students to graduate from the Digital Media Design program at West Liberty University. He also served as an adjunct professor at WLU from 2011 to 2023.
