Submit Your Thesis

Process to Submit Your Thesis:

  1. What must be completed prior to submitting my thesis?
You must have completed all of your coursework, have successfully defended your thesis, and have generated a final PDF signed version of it.
  2. Where do I submit my thesis?
Visit the link, http://www.etdadmin.com/westliberty, to create an account with a personalized login.  Once you have logged in, enter your WLU Student ID number without the “@” symbol.  For example, if your Student ID is @00012345, then you would simply enter 00012345.
  3. How do I submit my thesis?
Once you have logged in to the ProQuest ETD Administrator site, you will enter the database for theses and dissertations (Proquest / UMI) and will archive your thesis for no cost.

There are options through this site to pay for copyright, allow for your thesis to be open access and to produce printed copies.  By selecting any of these additional options, the student will be responsible for the individual cost.  There is zero cost to you if you do not wish to print a hard copy, allow for open access, or have your thesis copywritten.

  4. May I use another company to print my thesis?
Yes, you may choose to use another company to print your thesis.  A former WLU MS graduate chose to print his through PhD Book Binding, https://phdbookbinding.com.  The price was fairly reasonable (approximately $140.00 for 3 copies), with one copy going to the graduate, one to the Graduate Program Director, and one to the library at West Liberty University.

Please speak with your thesis mentor regarding the number of copies that you should purchase (three is standard).  As a reminder, the cost is at the expense of the student.
