Jim Lange, Radio Host, West Virginia Public Broadcasting

Jim has a Master’s Degree in Guitar Performance from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University. His BA is in Music Education from West Liberty University.

He joined West Virginia Public Broadcasting in 1998, working in radio part-time on Sunday nights. This developed into original programming called Sunday Nights with Jim Lange. Around 2002, this became Eclectopia– a program that has become a WVPB staple.

Recently, a kind listener called Jim “the mad scientist of cool music.” Josh Gaffin, a NY native and host of The Afternoon Show on WTSQ, recently commented, “When I first heard your show, I thought thank goodness something this cool is on the air.” From 2007 until 2015, he became host/producer of Classical Music with Jim Lange. He has also produced Symphony of Ideas– a co-production with maestro Grant Cooper and the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra. He has blogged in both Classically Speaking and EclecTopia. Jim has interviewed classical greats such as John Eliot Gardiner. Joshua Bell, Hans Zimmer, George Crumb, Simone Dinnerstein, Erich Kunzel and Tim Fain. In contemporary music, he has interviewed and produced shows about David Sylvian, Bill Bruford, Ralph Towner (2014) and jazz author Joe Goldberg. Recent interviews include Josh Kaler of Hula Hi-Fi, Peter Chilvers (software designer with Brian Eno), Tristen Gaspadarak and the band Joseph. The guitar, of the classical variety, has been his faithful companion for nearly 50 years. Composing is also a passion. Hobbies include cycling, hiking, yoga and fitness.


Wes Ebeling, Director, Web/App Services at Technology Services Group in Wheeling

The Director of Web/App Services at TSG in Wheeling, West Virginia, Wes has thrived in the Web industry since 2000. His years of experience, ability to adapt to industry changes, and positive outlook are used daily in providing guidance and solutions to a varying array of clients, as well as his own team members. Wes is a proud alumni of West Liberty University, having graduated in 2002 with his Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design.


Maciej Zdanowicz, artist

Maciej Zdanowicz was born in Debica, Poland on 1982. He is a visual artist and art theorist who works in the field of printmaking (digital graphic), as well as graphic design. His interests are focused on the imaging of sound and music. In particular his art based on field recording and visualization of specific soundscapes.
He works as an Assistant Professor and Deputy Director for Didactic and Students Affairs at the Institute of Fine Arts at Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce. He is also lecturer for Interdisciplinary Doctoral Studies at the Wladyslaw Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, and is on the Information Technology faculty at the Warsaw School of Information Technology under the auspices of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He is the author of several individual exhibitions, curatorial projects, critical texts, and scientific articles in the field of history of modern and contemporary art. Zdanowicz has received numerous awards and honors including the Artistic Scholarship of Lodz City Mayor in 2017, honorable mention in the 1st National Exhibition of Student Drawing in Torun in 2008, and the prize of the City Art Gallery in Lodz at the 23rd Wladyslaw Strzeminski Competition in Fine Arts. Together with Ewelina Kurkowska, he creates artistic and anthropological projects in the fields of soundscape and acoustic ecology.
