Highlights of CSD Department

All CSD faculty hold a current West Virginia and/or Pennsylvania license in Speech Pathology or Audiology and are within good standing of the WV and/or PA Board of Examiners.
All CSD faculty currently hold their Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
All CSD faculty currently work in a wide variety of outside clinical settings where they maintain their clinical experience helping patients and students directly. They are experienced in speech pathology/audiology, communication disorders, hearing impaired education, sign language/professional interpreters of the deaf, and special education for patients of all ages.
Small classes, excellent student to faculty ratios (usually 15 or fewer students to 1 faculty).
Option to further graduate work at West Liberty University by applying the Master of Science education program in Speech-Language Pathology
On-site speech and hearing clinic to provide students with use of state-of-the-art equipment and patient experience.
Adequate computer access with virtual audiometry, anatomy, and assessment protocols.
Newer state of the art equipment and anatomy models.
National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association chapter where the students invest their time in learning more about the profession, continuing education, networking, and community service activities.
