Robert Douglas “Bob” Monahan passed away in UPMC-Hamot hospital in Erie, PA, on June 27, 2012. As a former teacher and track and field couch at Strong Vincent High School, he was diagnosed with ALS. Bob fought this in the same way he taught his students, with passion and commitment. Bob was a 1986 graduate of West Liberty with a bachelor of science degree in 1986. Bob was a devoted father of two daughters, Morgan and Haley. He also attended McLAne Church in Edinboro, enjoyed biking, runing, movies–particularly anything with Adam Sandler in it.
