Paula Kay Silver of Wellsburg passed away far too young at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA on April 7, 2017.
She was born at Wheeling Hospital and grew up in Bethany, WV.
She was the daughter of the late Pauline Bowman Silver and Woodrow Wilson Silver.
She graduated valedictorian of Bethany High School serving as Captain of the Debate Team, a varsity cheerleader, and received the Betty Crocker Award.
She graduated from West Liberty State College with High Honors and was a participant of the Honors Program. After completing her education at West Virginia University College of Law, she practiced over 41 years serving as an Assistant Prosecutor and City Judge.
She was a member of the West Virginia and Florida State Bar. While being an Assistant Prosecutor in Ohio County for 9 years, she helped hundreds of children find safe, loving homes. She is survived by her two daughters Jennifer Ferguson of Lincolnton, NC, and Jessica Ferguson of Wellsburg, WV, a brother Woodrow Silver Jr. of Denver, NC and a sister Carole Sue Silver (Lee Dittrich) of Washington, PA, and one grandson, Aiden Mizok.
She was a member of the Franklin United Methodist Church and Kadesh Chapel Church.
She enjoyed traveling, her favorite place being Daytona Beach and spending time with her grandson Aiden.
Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery.
