Nancy Monroe – 1953

Monroe, Nancy Ann Tebay, 85, of Wheeling, WV., died Saturday, March 21, 2015 in the Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital and Geriatric Center, Wheeling.
She was born October 8, 1929 in Wheeling, WV the daughter, of the late Howard A. and Helen Johnson Tebay.
Mrs. Monroe retired from Bethlehem Elementary as a 2nd grade school teacher for over 28 years and was a member of Vance Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was an active member of the Presbyterian Women, was a member of the OCARS, a member of the Eastern Star Miriam Chapter 1 and past member of the DAR. Mrs. Monroe graduated from West Liberty College.
She loved her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and was proud of her 2nd grade students.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A. King Monroe in 1991.
Surviving are two sons, Howard K. Monroe and his wife, Nancy and Tom R. Monroe and his wife, Peggy all of Wheeling, WV.; a sister, Peggy Tebay of Wheeling, WV.; three grandchildren, Jason K. Monroe and his wife, Natalie of Frederick, MD, Justin K. Monroe and his wife, Holly of Wheeling, WV and Jonathan K. Monroe of Morgantown, WV; three great-grandchildren, Tyler and Sierra and Teddy K.
