Ernest, Jay Maxine, 71, of Springfield, OH, formally of Wheeling, WV, died on Friday, March 10, 2017 in Springfield, OH.
She was born December 6, 1945 in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of the late Julieann and Alva Moore.
Jay was a graduate of Triadelphia High School and West Liberty College. She studied to be a teacher. She later worked at Honolulu International Airport and ITT Japsco in Springfield, OH. She was a member of the Rose Society of Springfield for many years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth R. Ernest; children, John Ernest and Lisa Ernest; daughter-in-law Nicole Ernest; and two grandchildren, Logan and Jordan Ernest.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311) with the Reverend Robert Nagy officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
